Safari Group Deputy Chairman Extends Condolences On Demise Of Hyder Haji

Doha: The Safari Group of Companies extended its heartfelt condolences on the passing of Hyder Haji, the founder of Family Food Centre and a long-standing resident of Qatar.

Zainul Abideen, National Vice President of the Indian Union Muslim League and Deputy Chairman of the Safari Group of Companies, expressed deep sorrow over the loss, stating:“The demise of Hyder Haji-one of the pioneering expatriates in Qatar and a distinguished figure in the realms of business, education, and public service-is an irreparable loss to the expatriate community in Qatar. His contributions have left a lasting impact and his absence will be deeply felt.” Abideen said that Haji made valuable contributions to charitable and humanitarian efforts, and I had the privilege of maintaining a close personal relationship with him.

“He would often reach out like an elder brother, inquiring about my well-being and showing interest in both business and family matters. He took the lead in launching several ventures both in Qatar and back home. Today, Family Food Center stands tall as one of Qatar's major business establishments,” said Abideen.

He said that Haji also played a key role in the establishment of MES Indian School in 1974 to provide quality education to children following the Indian syllabus.

That has now grown into a large educational establishment with over 10,000 students across two campuses.

“Hyder Haji was a man of integrity, humility, and unwavering determination. He played a crucial role in uniting the expatriate community in Qatar. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones and offer our sincere prayers for his eternal peace and salvation,” said Abideen.
