Kuwait PAFN Lifts Ban On Brazilian Poultry Imports


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, July 20 (KUNA) -- The Supreme Committee for Food and Water Safety at the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition (PAFN) recommended in its meeting Sunday, lifting the ban on all poultry imports from Brazil due to the end of the avian influenza virus (Bird Flu).
The ban had applied on all imports of fresh, chilled, frozen, and processed poultry meat, and its derivatives and products.
PAFN posted on its X platform that the committee recommended banning the import of all fresh, chilled, processed, and frozen poultry meat of all types, and its derivatives and products, except those pasteurized at 70 degrees Celsius, due to the avian influenza outbreak in several regions of the US.
