Türkiye, Qatar Activate Humanitarian Collaboration Pact

(MENAFN) A two-way accord between Türkiye and Qatar, designed to deepen their collaboration in international humanitarian initiatives, became legally binding on Monday.

This development followed its appearance in Türkiye’s Official Gazette, signaling its formal approval by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The “Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Humanitarian Assistance between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the State of Qatar,” which was finalized in Ankara on November 14, 2024, officially took effect with its recent publication.

According to the agreement, both nations will build a broad framework aimed at facilitating efficient joint operations to deliver humanitarian support to third-party countries facing crises.

The pact emphasizes coordinated actions in areas such as offering financial and logistical aid, sending humanitarian teams, setting up and running mobile hospitals, promoting post-crisis recovery efforts, and reconstructing essential infrastructure through shared programs and initiatives.
