Emirates Crowned Airline Of The Year 2024 At Sharetripmonitor Awards


(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) Dhaka: Emirates took home the highest honor at the ShareTrip–Monitor Airline of the Year 2024 Awards, held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka on July 5, winning the Gold trophy in the Airline of the Year category.

The award ceremony, based on feedback from over 3,000 Bangladeshi travelers in an open online survey, reflects Emirates' continued dominance in international aviation.

Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines followed as Silver and Bronze winners respectively in this flagship category.

Gold winner Emirates

Founded in 1985 and based in Dubai, Emirates has grown into one of the world's largest international carriers, operating a fleet of over 260 wide-body aircraft-mainly Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s.

Renowned for its luxurious in-flight experience, cutting-edge entertainment system (ICE), and world-class lounges, Emirates continues to dominate long-haul travel markets.

In Bangladesh, it operates direct flights from Dhaka to Dubai, connecting Bangladeshi travelers to over 130 global destinations.

Its strong performance in service, reliability, and brand trust helped secure its place as Airline of the Year.

Silver winner Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways, the national carrier of the State of Qatar, is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious airlines in the world.

A member of the oneworld alliance, it has earned accolades for its premium business class“Qsuite,” award-winning cabin crew, and extensive global network.

Operating out of Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar Airways has served Bangladesh since 1995 and currently offers frequent flights from Dhaka.

The airline's excellence in both luxury and economy travel, as well as its consistent Skytrax ratings, earned it the Silver trophy in this year's awards.

Bronze winner Singapore Airlines

A pioneer in inflight innovation and service, Singapore Airlines (SIA) is globally recognized for its polished customer service, operational efficiency, and high safety standards.

Operating from its hub at Changi Airport-voted the world's best airport multiple times-SIA is a top choice among Asian carriers.

The airline connects Dhaka to Southeast Asia and onward to Australia, Europe, and North America.

Known for its premium economy and First Class“Suites,” Singapore Airlines continues to set industry benchmarks, justifying its Bronze win in this highly competitive category.

The Airline of the Year category was part of the 11th ShareTrip–Monitor Airline of the Year Awards, organized by The Bangladesh Monitor, with ShareTrip as the title sponsor.

The event celebrated outstanding performance in 23 different categories, based on a nationwide survey validated by a panel of aviation experts and travel journalists.

The ceremony was attended by Md Fahimul Islam, Secretary of the Ministry of Railways, as the Chief Guest. Prominent figures of the aviation and travel industry, including Kazi Wahidul Alam, Editor, The Bangladesh Monitor; Sadia Haque, Co-founder and CEO, ShareTrip; and representatives from leading airlines and travel agencies were also present on the occasion.

The top three winners-Emirates, Qatar Airways, and Singapore Airlines-exemplify excellence in global aviation. Their recognition by Bangladeshi passengers reflects both loyalty and trust in carriers that consistently deliver premium service and connectivity. The awards also spotlight Bangladesh's growing aviation market, with its passengers emerging as discerning global travelers.

By honoring these top-tier carriers, the ShareTrip–Monitor Awards continue to promote service excellence and healthy competition in the aviation sector-both regionally and globally.
