Iran Pres. Suspends Cooperation With IAEA


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TEHRAN, July 2 (KUNA) -- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian approved Wednesday a law suspending cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The official Iranian TV mentioned that the Islamic Consultative Assembly approved the law prior to ratification from the President, making it effective.
The law stipulates suspending cooperation with the IAEA following the war with the Israeli occupation which also included the United States intervening and striking three nuclear facilities in Iran.
The US-mediated ceasefire came into effect last Tuesday following 12 days of exchanged hostilities. (end)
