Stock Market Holidays 2026: Check January Trading Closures Now
Maharashtra's upcoming municipal elections will impact the stock market. On Jan 15, 2026, both BSE and NSE will be closed, as the NSE has declared a full-day holiday.
Previously just a settlement holiday, Jan 15 is now a full market closure. Equity, derivatives, and other segments will have no trading. Commodity derivatives are closed for the morning.
Per the NSE calendar, the market is closed for Republic Day (Jan 26), Holi (Mar 3), Ram Navami (Mar 26), Mahavir Jayanti (Mar 31), and Good Friday (Apr 3).
Additionally, the NSE will have no trading for Ambedkar Jayanti (Apr 14), Maharashtra Day (May 1), and Bakri Eid (May 28). The market is also closed for Muharram on June 26.
Second-half holidays include Ganesh Chaturthi (Sep 14), Gandhi Jayanti (Oct 2), Dussehra (Oct 20), Diwali (Nov 10), Guru Nanak Jayanti (Nov 24), and Christmas (Dec 25).
