Hamba Exhibition Of Bangladeshi Mangoes Concludes, Attracts 64,000 Visitors
Doha, Qatar: The Hamba Exhibition of Bangladeshi Mangoes and Products concluded yesterday, following six days of vibrant activities held at the Eastern Square in Souq Waqif from June 25 to 30. The event was organized by the Celebrations Committee of the Private Engineering Office in cooperation with the Embassy of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and witnessed strong attendance and enthusiastic participation from both citizens and residents.
During its run, the exhibition attracted 64,000 visitors, with total sales reaching 72,390 kilograms of fresh Bangladeshi mangoes. It is worth noting that the exhibition closed a day earlier than scheduled due to all fresh mango stock imported from Bangladesh selling out, reflecting the significant demand and commercial success of the event.
The exhibition featured fresh Bangladeshi mangoes as well as a variety of mango-based products, including sweets, juices, and traditional dishes, offering visitors a rich and authentic taste of Bangladeshi flavors.
In a statement, Khalid Saif Al-Suwaidi, General Supervisor of the Exhibition, said:“Thanks to God, the exhibition achieved remarkable success, with over 72 tonnes of Bangladeshi mangoes sold and more than 60,000 visitors over the six days. Due to all the fresh stock imported from Bangladesh selling out, the exhibition was closed one day earlier than planned, which is a testament to the high demand and positive visitor response we witnessed.”
He added:“We promise our valued audience that these successes will continue as we prepare to launch the Second Hamba Exhibition of Pakistani Mangoes and Products, which will begin on July 10, 2025, at Souq Waqif. We look forward to surprising you with unique and new varieties being offered for the first time.”
