Verkhovna Rada Drafting Special Bill For Post-War Elections Stefanchuk

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk announced this on Ukrainian television, as reported by Ukrinform.

“We are working on this bill because the next elections require a new, specific law that will regulate the so-called post-war elections,” Stefanchuk said.

He noted that the many challenges Ukraine will face following the war-challenges that will depend heavily on its outcome and timeline-but emphasized that preparations must begin now.

“We're preparing various scenarios to ensure that citizens can realize their fundamental constitutional right to vote. This must happen in Ukraine, and I believe we'll reach the necessary legislative compromise,” he added.

As earlier reported by Ukrinform, Stefanchuk said that elections that would be held after the lifting of martial law fall outside the existing constitutional provisions, making a separate legal act essential to guide their implementation.
