Charitable Work Cmte's Decision Reflects Kuwait's Pioneering Humanitarian Work

KUWAIT, June 28 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Humanitarian and Charitable Work Regulatory Committee decided to resume donations and funding of charitable projects inside and outside the country, reflecting Kuwait's pioneering role in humanitarian work.
The decision was made during First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah chairing of the committee, with the participation of representative of relevant government entities.
The decision would boost efforts of charitable organizations to meet with international standards, guarantying governance and transparency, and allowing donators to track their finances.
It also allows those working in this sector to implement their programs in accordance with specific regulatory procedures set by the Ministry of Social Affairs, ensuring that aid reaches those who deserve it.
Speaking to KUNA on this matter on Saturday, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Saleh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Relief Society, said that the decision to resume donations and charitable work reflects the wise leadership's commitment to Kuwait's pioneering humanitarian work.
Al-Saleh expressed his gratitude to all members of the committee and the supporting official institutions for their efforts.
In a similar statement to KUNA, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Humanitarian Excellence Association, Dr. Khaled Al-Subaihi, renewed the association's commitment to its principles and values, appreciating the trust of donors.
For his part, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Safa Humanitarian Charitable Society, Mohammad Al-Shaya, praised the decision of the committee, saying it reflects Kuwait's humanitarian leading position. (end)
