Our Martyrs Blood Is Nation's Strength We Can Never Repay Their Debt, FM Asim Munir


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that the sacrifices of Pakistan's martyrs can never be repaid, calling their blood the foundation of the nation's strength.

According to the military's media wing ISPR, the funeral prayers of Major Syed Moiz Abbas Shah were held at Chaklala Garrison in Rawalpindi.

The 37-year-old officer from Chakwal was martyred during an intelligence-based operation in South Waziristan's Sararogha area against militants allegedly backed by India.

Field Marshal Asim Munir, Federal Interior Minister, senior civil and military officials, officers, and soldiers attended the funeral.

Paying tribute to the fallen officer , Field Marshal Munir said that Major Moez embraced martyrdom while bravely confronting the enemy. "His supreme sacrifice reflects the highest traditions of bravery, selflessness, and patriotism," he remarked.

The army chief emphasized that while the nation mourns the loss, it also takes immense pride in the heroism of its martyrs. "We can never repay the debt we owe to our martyrs. The blood of our shaheeds is the very foundation of our national strength," he added.

The ISPR further stated that the body of the martyr has been sent to his native town, where he will be laid to rest with full military honors.
