Qatar Amir, Lebanese PM Discuss Regional Developments, Issues Of Interest


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DOHA, June 24 (KUNA) -- Qatar Amir Tamim bin Hamad and visiting Lebanese Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam met in Doha Tuesday discussing the recent regional developments and issues of mutual interest.
According to the Qatari Amiri Diwan, Lebanese Prime Minister Salam reflected his country's strong condemnation of the Iranian attack against Al-Udeid Air Base, which he deemed as a violation of Qatar's sovereignty, the UN Charter, and international law.
He reiterated Lebanon's utter refusal of all acts that endangered Qatar and its people.
Salam also expressed gratitude to Qatar's support to Lebanon and its people.
For his part, Qatar's Amir thanked Prime Minister Salam for his sincere wishes, which reflected the strength of ties.
Qatar's Amir and the Lebanese Prime Minister discussed ways to boost relations as well as issues of regional and international importance. (end)
