South Korea’s President Demands Peace on Korean Peninsula
(MENAFN) On Tuesday, just one day before the 75th commemoration of the Korean War, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung underscored the critical importance of establishing lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula.
During a cabinet meeting, Lee emphasized that the significance of security concerns cannot be overstated.
"Making peace in which no one needs to fight is the surest security. Making peace is the job of politics," the president declared.
Lee further highlighted the close connection between security and economic prosperity, noting that the phrase "Peace constitutes economy and peace constitutes food" is no longer just a slogan but a tangible reality today.
