Police Academy Holds Seminar On Misuse Of Social Media, Impact On Children

Doha, Qatar: The Police Academy, represented by the Center for Security Research and Studies, in collaboration with the Juvenile Police Department, organized a scientific seminar on the misuse of Social Media and its effects on children. The event featured the participation of a group of specialists and experts in the fields of security, social affairs, and psychology.



The seminar shed light on the psychological, social, and behavioral impacts resulting from the misuse of social media by youth. It also reviewed the efforts made by security and legislative authorities to combat cybercrimes associated with this phenomenon.



Participants emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation among relevant institutions and increasing scientific research and studies to confront the challenges posed by the modern digital environment, contributing to the protection of children and safeguarding them from online risks.
