
HMC Hosts Students From College Of Business And Economics At Qatar University
Doha, Qatar: As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with national academic institutions and promote the concept of direct, practical learning, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) hosted a delegation of students from the Executive Master's Program in Leadership at the College of Business and Economics at Qatar University.
The visit aimed to familiarize the students with HMC's advanced administrative and healthcare environment and to link theoretical knowledge with its practical application within one of the region's leading healthcare systems.
During the visit, the Training and Development Section at the Human Resources Department organized a series of meetings and discussion sessions with a select group of executive leaders at HMC for the 29 attending students.
The sessions included an overview of key administrative topics, the exchange of expertise and experiences with the students, and discussions on strategic subjects such as the organizational structure, governance, leadership strategies, and development programs aimed at enhancing the quality of healthcare.
The sessions also addressed the challenges facing the healthcare sector and explored ways to effectively manage them.
Acting Chief of Business Services and Acting Chief Human Resources Officer at HMC, Mona Al Homaiddi emphasised the importance of integrated efforts between academic and professional institutions, given their vital role in knowledge and expertise exchange and in strengthening leadership capabilities.
Executive Director of Talent Development at HMC, Sabiha Qasimi delivered a comprehensive presentation on HMC's vision, mission, and strategic goals. She highlighted the corporation's most significant achievements in recent years, which have strengthened its position both locally and internationally, as a leading healthcare model in the Middle East and a cornerstone in supporting Qatar's healthcare system.

During the sessions, HMC efforts to develop services were addressed including the implementation of international best practices in quality and patient safety, which resulted in receiving accreditation from the Joint Commission International (JCI) for many facilities as a recognition of continuous commitment to quality and clinical excellence.
The sessions also highlighted HMC's local and international partnerships that support the implementation of development projects within the corporation, particularly collaborations with academic and research institutions.
Additionally, they shed light on the vital role of national professionals working at HMC, as well as the ongoing training programs aimed at enhancing their professional capabilities and improving the overall work environment.
This visit reflects the strong collaboration between HMC and QU, and the shared commitment to develop leadership and administrative skills of the national workforce.
