Seiko Epson Corporation (TSE: 6724,“Epson”) is developing its first collaborative robot solution, with a planned launch in 2025. Designed to enhance efficiency and productivity across a wide range of industries-including manufacturing, logistics, and the rapidly evolving life sciences and pharmaceutical sectors-this new solution represents a significant expansion of Epson's automation portfolio. Initial sales are planned for Japan and Europe, with a phased rollout to additional regions to follow.

  With a payload capacity of 6kg and an arm length of 900mm, the robot arm features an industry-leading¹ lightweight and space-saving design, making it suitable for both laboratory transportation and production line integration. Weighing only 17kg, its lightweight construction allows for easy relocation and reconfiguration. Its compact form factor makes it ideal for use in space-constrained environments and facilitates adaptation to changes in operational layouts, ensuring flexible deployment in a wide range of settings.

• Compact, lightweight controller designed for installation on mobile robots
  Designed for integration with mobile robots such as automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), the controller measures W 440 x D 205 x H 135 mm and weighs less than 6kg. Its compact, lightweight form factor enables efficient, space-saving installations.
• Broad power source compatibility
  The collaborative robot is compatible with power sources ranging from 100 to 230 VAC and 48VDC, making it adaptable to various installation environments.
• Designed for cleanrooms
  This collaborative robot features clean transfer capabilities compliant with ISO 14644-1 Class 5 standards and IP54-compliant protection against dust and splashing water². Its smooth chassis, free of screw holes and sharp edges, minimizes dust accumulation, thereby reducing contamination risks in cleanrooms.

• Python programming support
