Amman, June 4 (Petra) -- Global educational technology company Classera officially opened a new office in Amman this week, a move government and industry leaders say underscores Jordan's growing attractiveness as a regional hub for tech investment.
The launch event on Monday was attended by Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Samy Smeerat, who called the expansion a reflection of "growing confidence in Jordan's innovation ecosystem."
The new office, which includes client service hubs and innovation labs, is part of Classera's regional growth strategy and aims to leverage local talent.
"This expansion provides meaningful support for the nation's digital transformation journey," Minister Smeerat said, adding that it contributes to creating new opportunities for Jordanian youth and helps drive a competitive, knowledge-based economy.
The investment was also welcomed by the local tech industry. Nidal Bitar, CEO of the Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (int@j), stated that the move highlights the Kingdom's appeal for foreign investment, particularly in the EdTech field.
He praised Classera for creating quality employment opportunities and called its growth "a proud example of Arab integration in the information technology sector."
Classera, which provides smart learning solutions, chose Jordan for its next phase of expansion due to its skilled workforce and strategic vision.
"We are thrilled to deepen our roots in Jordan, a country known for its forward-thinking approach and dynamic talent," said Mohammad S. Almadani, CEO of Classera.
He described the new Amman office as a future "hub of innovation" that will serve partners and develop learning-focused projects across the region.
