Ukrainian Armed Forces To Deploy KRAMPUS Flamethrower Robot
According to the ministry's press service , the domestically produced KRAMPUS complex has now been cleared for operational deployment, Ukrinform reports.
"The Ministry of Defense has codified and approved for use in Ukrainian Armed Forces units the KRAMPUS mobile flamethrower strike complex, developed by a Ukrainian manufacturer. It is intended for both assault and defensive tasks," the statement reads.
KRAMPUS is compact and lightweight enough to fit in the bed of a pickup truck, van, or on a trailer. It is powered by two silent electric motors and runs on a tracked chassis, giving it excellent mobility across difficult terrain. It can move through off-road areas, forests, sand, swamps, and climb steep slopes. The system features robust, interference-resistant control channels and operates reliably in extreme conditions, including cold, heat, snow, and rain. Its onboard batteries provide several hours of continuous movement, allowing it to remain on standby at a position for extended periods.
Additionally, the ground-based robotic platform is equipped with video cameras and a combat module armed with RPV-16 rocket-propelled infantry flamethrowers, capable of eliminating enemy personnel and lightly armored vehicles.

The ministry also noted that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, over 80 ground robotic systems have been codified and approved for use within Ukraine's Defense Forces, most of them domestically produced. In 2023, nearly ten such systems were certified, with more than 50 in 2024. Since the beginning of 2025, over 20 new robotic systems have been cleared. These domestic platforms perform a wide range of functions, including reconnaissance, mine-laying and demining, logistics, evacuation, and patrol. Armed ground drones carry out both offensive and defensive missions. There are even ground-based kamikaze robotic platforms, the ministry added.
