Qatar Economic Forum To See Over 20 Mous Signed, Launch Of New Mobile App

Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Economic Forum will witness the signing of more than 20 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) between entities and launch of a new mobile app, said an official.

Speaking to The Peninsula on the sidelines of the press conference held yesterday, to reveal preparations for 'Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg', Eng. Jassim Mohamed Al Khori, CEO of Media City Qatar and Member of the Organizing Committee highlighted the unique features of this year's forum.

The new feature is the diversity of people joining us globally.“There will be 20 plus memorandums that will be signed throughout the three days will be live podcasts available for the first time. This year we are featuring the mobile app for the first time. Also, live podcasts that will be launched throughout the forum," Al Khori said.

He added,“We have more than 70 nationalities coming, and over 120 speakers lined up. We are also hosting more than 45 international global news channels this year to cover this event. Also, we will have people on the ground to measure the economic impact whether it is direct or indirect on the GDP contribution of Qatar. There will be a lot of tangible or intangible features you will get to see.”

The event is going to host almost 3,000 people, majority is coming from outside the country to take advantage of this platform, share their voice and to listen from the experts. The forum is all about pressing subjects, and creating that impact in the global market, he further said.

This year's theme of the forum, 'The Road to 2030: Transforming the Global Economy,' will spotlight global economic shifts and the Gulf's influence in shaping the decade ahead.

The forum has succeeded in topping the list of the most prominent global economic forums, becoming one of the largest and most influential events on the international scene, highlighting the most prominent economic transformations taking place globally.
