Zelensky Presents State Awards To Border Guards

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) President Volodymyr Zelensky presented state awards to the servicemen of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on the occasion of the Border Guard Day.

The head of state announced this in his Telegram , Ukrinform reports.

“Today is the Day of our gratitude to each and every one who serves in the ranks of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. I awarded state awards to border guards on the occasion of their professional day,” Zelensky wrote and posted a video of the award ceremony.

Zelensky noted that thousands of border guards are defending the Ukrainian border and holding the front along with all other elements of the Defense and Security Forces. According to him, they face enemy subversive reconnaissance groups, monitor the situation and the movement of Russian forces near our border.

“The intelligence work of the State Border Guard Service is brilliant. The effectiveness of the units working with drones. The active actions and resilience of the assault brigades“Revenge”,“Forpost”,“Steel Border”,“Gart” and the“Dozor” detachment. Also, the Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Kherson border guard detachments and units of the Sea Guard. Border guard commandant's offices of rapid response of Lviv, Zhytomyr, Chop, Izmail, Volyn, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi detachments,” the President noted.

The Head of State expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian border guards.

As Ukrinform reported, April 30 is the annual Day of the Border Guard of Ukraine . On this occasion, the President also awarded a number of structural units of the State Border Guard Service with honorary awards“For Courage and Bravery” and conferred new military ranks on three officials of the agency.
