Elizabeth R. Koch Foundation Launches Grant Opportunity For Los Angeles Nonprofits

(MENAFN- PR Newswire) The Foundation's initial focus is to fund organizations that serve the Los Angeles community in a wide range of services that nurture healing, resilience, and growth. Areas of focus include after-school programs that offer stability and mentorship; first responders who bring calm in chaos; safe spaces for young people navigating hardship, heartache, and feelings of uprootedness. We also assist mental health programs, crisis response teams, grief support networks, rites of passage services, and organizations that guide individuals and communities through life's more difficult moments.

"I didn't grow up in LA, but this city has cracked my heart wide open," said Elizabeth R. Koch, founder & CEO, Elizabeth R. Koch Foundation. "There's something beautifully layered about Los Angeles-so much creativity, so much longing, so much celebration even in painful moments. It's alive in every possible way, full of people who care and see and show up for one another in ways that are generous, grounded, and profoundly human."

"We launched this RFP not just to fund projects," she continued, "but to honor the people who are already doing the sacred, day-to-day work of showing up for others. The people who bring comfort when things fall apart. Who offer a steady hand to kids and young adults finding their way. Who hold space-for grief, for healing, for becoming. There's a quiet kind of alchemy that unfolds when someone feels not only supported, but truly valued. It doesn't just comfort; it deepens trust. It strengthens the invisible threads that hold communities together. It reminds people that they are never ever alone, that aloneness is just a story, and the minute you let that story go, help envelops you. That's not just the kind of change we support-it's the heartbeat of why we exist."

Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits with an annual budget of at least $250,000, and funds must be used for programs operating within Los Angeles County. National organizations may apply as long as their proposed initiatives serve local communities.
