
Earthquake Strikes Tajikistan
The epicenter was located 156 kilometers northeast of the capital, Dushanbe, and 18 kilometers east of the Rasht district.
The tremors registered a magnitude of 3–4 in the epicenter area and around 3 in the Rasht district. According to preliminary information, there have been no reports of casualties or damage from this latest seismic activity.
Meanwhile, a stronger earthquake occurred in Tajikistan a day earlier, on April 13, with a magnitude of 6.1. The epicenter of that quake was located approximately 170 kilometers south of Khujand, at a depth of 15 kilometers. Preliminary assessments indicate that 94 residential houses were damaged.
