Eid Al Fitr Prayer Timings In UAE: Likely Schedule In Dubai, Sharjah Revealed

As the holy month of Ramadan comes to a close , the moon sighting committee is set to announce the official prayer timings for Eid Al Fitr on Saturday, March 29. Eid prayers are usually held 15 to 20 minutes after sunrise.

Mohammed Musabeh Ali Dhahi, executive director of the Charitable Work Sector and General Coordinator of Ramadan Initiatives in Dubai, confirmed to Khaleej Times that the official prayer timings will be shared with both the media and the public on Saturday.

While the official announcement is still awaited, a prayer timing shared by Dubai-based scholar Sheikh Ayaz Housee, Imam at NGS and Khateeb at Al Manar Centre, suggests that Eid prayers in Dubai are expected to begin at 6.20am.

Based on similar calculations, prayers in Sharjah and Ajman are likely to start a minute earlier at 6.19am, while in Abu Dhabi, they are anticipated to begin at 6.22am.

However, these timings are still estimates, as authorities have yet to confirm the official timings. The final prayer timings will be updated following the official announcement on Saturday.

In preparation for Eid Al Fitr, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) has announced that more than 680 mosques and prayer halls across Dubai are ready to host the Eid prayers.

This includes 14 large prayer areas in key locations and 668 smaller mosques situated in residential neighbourhoods, ensuring greater accessibility and helping to alleviate overcrowding.

Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director-General of the department, stated that special teams have put together a detailed plan in coordination with government agencies and volunteers.

“This plan will help manage crowd movement , ensure smooth entry and exit, and provide support for the elderly and people of determination,” said Al Muhairi.
