IEA Leadership Hosts Top Security Officials In Kandahar Meeting

KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Ministers of Defense, Interior, and the Chief of GDI presented a security report to the leadership of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) at a meeting in southern Kandahar.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the chief spokesman for the IEA, wrote on his X account that Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid, Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, and Mullah Abdulhaq Wasiq attended the meeting in Kandahar, where they presented the security report to the leadership.

He said that Mullah Abdul Qayum Zakir and Mullah Mohammad Nabi Omari, the deputy ministers of Interior and Defense, also participated in the meeting.

According to Mujahid, during the meeting, the proposals from security institutions were reviewed, and necessary guidance was provided regarding their operations and work discipline.

Additionally, important decisions were made to improve order, enhance equipment, and strengthen the capacity of these institutions.
