Pakistan To Strictly Enforce March 31 Deadline For Illegal Afghan Nationals


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided not to extend the March 31 deadline for the expulsion of undocumented Afghan nationals, affirming that the deadline will be enforced strictly. The decision was made during a meeting of the Ministry of Interior , where authorities resolved to proceed with the removal of all illegal immigrants as planned.

In Rawalpindi and Islamabad , Afghan nationals residing illegally have already been instructed to leave the country.

Meanwhile, Amnesty International has urged the Pakistani government to reconsider its decision, warning that the deportation deadline will further exacerbate the hardships faced by Afghan citizens.

According to Amnesty International, Pakistan has expelled 844,499 Afghan nationals between 2023 and 2025 as part of its ongoing crackdown on illegal immigration.
