Zelenskyy Visits Paris for Summit Regarding Military Support for Ukraine

(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Ukrainian Leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Paris ahead of a summit scheduled for Thursday, where the “coalition of the willing” will gather to discuss temporary military support for Ukraine.

Ukrainian presidential spokesperson Serhiy Nykyforov said to local media that Zelenskyy had reached France and would engage in talks with French Leader Emmanuel Macron.

The Elysee Palace announced that Macron will host a working dinner with Zelenskyy at 6 p.m. local time (1700GMT).

Zelenskyy’s visit aligns with the upcoming summit in Paris, where Macron stated that the event would “finalize our work on short-term support for the Ukrainian army.”

The initiative which was headed by London and Paris, was introduced earlier this month by UK Premier Keir Starmer. He explained that the summit’s goal is to “defend a deal in Ukraine and guarantee peace.”
