Sumy Missile Strike: Number Of Victims Rises To 110


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The number of victims of the March 24 missile attack on Sumy by Russian troops has increased to 110, including 24 children.

This was reported by the Sumy City Council on Facebook , Ukrinform reports.

According to the latest data,“the victims continue to seek medical attention - there are already 110 of them: 86 adults and 24 children .”

At present, it has been established that 85 buildings were damaged as a result of the enemy strike: 12 non-residential buildings, 36 multi-apartment residential buildings and 37 private buildings.

According to police, 11 vehicles were also damaged.

Employees of the State Emergency Service, utility companies and NGOs closed 537 windows (1,340 in total) and covered roofs with a total area of 240 square meters.

Some of the damaged windows were repaired by residents using materials provided by the city's infrastructure department, Proliska NGO and the regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.

The damaged street lighting has been fully restored.

Over the course of the day, 217 applications for inspections of damaged apartments were received (554 in total).

Emergency services, volunteers and local government officials were involved in the aftermath of the hostile attack.

A total of 209 people and 21 vehicles were involved.

Some of them were directly involved in emergency and restoration work, while others worked with the victims and provided hot meals to the liquidators and residents who needed them.

As reported by Ukrinform, in the afternoon of March 24, the Russian army launched a missile attack on the center of Sumy , hitting the residential sector and infrastructure facilities, including educational institutions.
