Egypt, Spain Reject Occupation's Military Operation In Gaza

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, March 25 (KUNA) -- Egypt and Spain rejected on Tuesday the military operations carried out by the Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip.
This came during a phone call between Egyptian President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, said Egyptian presidential spokesman Ambassador Mohamad Al-Shenawy in a statement.
During the call, the two sides discussed regional developments, particularly the ongoing developments in the Gaza Strip as well as the necessity of an immediate ceasefire, an end to the Israeli ground incursion into the Strip, and the inevitability of delivering humanitarian aid.
The spokesman added that President Al-Sisi touched on Egypt's efforts to achieve a ceasefire, stressing Egypt's categorical rejection of any attempts to displace Palestinians from their land.
He also noted that the Spanish Prime Minister expressed his country's welcome of the Arab plan to rebuild the Gaza Strip, affirming his country's agreement with Egypt's position rejecting the displacement of Palestinians.
The two sides agreed on the importance of implementing the two-state solution as the only guarantee for achieving security and stability for the peoples of the Middle East, he added. (end)
