
Khyber: Bank Robbery, Peshawar Cash Van Looters Arrested, Over 30 Million Recovered
According to police, the incident occurred at 9:15 AM when two motorcycle-riding robbers entered the bank, held the staff hostage at gunpoint, and managed to flee with Rs. 148 million.

This incident comes just a day after a similar robbery on GT Road, Hashtnagri, Peshawar, where armed men looted a Bank of Punjab cash van at gunpoint, escaping with millions.
Cash Van Robbery Suspects ArrestedPolice have arrested the suspects involved in the Peshawar cash van heist, recovering over Rs. 30 million.
SSP Operations Masood Bangash revealed during a press conference that four suspects, including the van driver, were arrested, and legal proceedings are underway.
Initial investigations indicate that the robbery was an inside job, with the van driver collaborating with the criminals. The driver had only been employed for six months and had a history of being dismissed from previous jobs.
Authorities further disclosed that the cash van was transporting significant money to different districts, and the robbers had prior knowledge of the movement. The police are now investigating the suspects' criminal records and possible connections with other gangs.
CCTV footage of the Peshawar heist, which took place on GT Road, Hashtnagri, had surfaced, aiding police in tracking down the suspects.
