Aleid And Juma Sparkle At Hathab

Doha, Qatar: Khaled Aleid secured victory in the Big Tour while Saeed Hamad Juma emerged winner in the Open Class as the 10th round of the Longines Hathab Tour concluded at Al Shaqab on Saturday night.

Riding the nine-year-old Q Layen, Aleid clocked a flawless 34.40 seconds in the decisive round of the 150cm contest, claiming top honours at the Longines Outdoor Arena.

Nasser Al Ghazali, aboard Etna du Chateau, finished second in the event with a time of 34.67 seconds, while Cyrine Cherif took third and fourth places in the competition. The French rider recorded a time of 36.56 seconds with Triple T Calamando Blue and completed the decisive round in 39.45 seconds with I am Moerhoeve's Princess Z.

Head of Facilities and Logistics Services Committee of Hathab Mohammed Saleh Al Marri presented trophies to the podium winners of Open Class.

In the Open Class (125cm), Juma clocked an impressive 26.16 seconds while steering Diesel Gp Du Bois Madame with perfection.

Talented Qatari rider Haya Khalid Al Hitmi, partnered with Hustique, finished second with a time of 27.89 seconds while Bader Al Fard completed the podium by finishing the course in 27.92 seconds with the eight-year-old Murdock.

Director of the Qatar Equestrian Teams Abdullah Al Marri praised the level of performance displayed by the riders in the 10th round.

“As we approach the final rounds of the Hathab, we have witnessed significant growth in the skill levels of our riders across various races and categories. This reflects the vision we set from the very beginning: to enhance their competitive abilities and elevate their skills to new horizons,” he said.

“This progress extends beyond individual rider development; it also encompasses improving their overall readiness for regional and international competitions. The upcoming International Equestrian Championships - Qatar 2025 has played a crucial role in this advancement by providing our riders with the opportunity to compete alongside some of the world's best.
