Piastri Claims Victory at Chinese Grand Prix


(MENAFN) McLaren’s Australian driver, Oscar Piastri, claimed victory at the Chinese Grand Prix, the second event of the 2025 Formula 1 championship.

The race unfolded on the 5.4-kilometer (3.3-mile) Shanghai International Circuit, featuring 56 laps. Piastri started the race from pole position and dominated the event from beginning to end, completing the race in one hour, 30 minutes, and 55.026 seconds.

This win marked the third career victory for Piastri.

British driver Lando Norris, who secured the season's opening win in Australia, took second place, finishing 9.748 seconds behind his McLaren teammate. Mercedes’ British racer George Russell followed closely in third, crossing the line 11.097 seconds behind the race leader.

The next race on the calendar, the Japanese Grand Prix, is scheduled for April 6.
