Heathrow Airport Resumes Flights Following Major Power Outage

(MENAFN) On Friday, London’s Heathrow Airport revealed it would be restarting some flights after a significant power failure that caused vast interruptions.

A representative for Heathrow issued an apology for the inconvenience caused and assured that efforts to restore normal operations had been underway since the incident occurred.

“Our teams have worked tirelessly since the incident to ensure a speedy recovery. We’re pleased to say we’re now safely able to begin some flights later today,” the representative stated.

The initial departures will consist of repatriation flights as well as the ones relocating aircraft.

The airport has advised travelers not to proceed with their journeys unless instructed by their airline.
