Arab Parliament Pres.: Arab League Important Regional, Int'l Entity

CAIRO, March 22 (KUNA) -- President of the Arab Parliament Mohammad Al-Yammahi commended on Saturday the great role played by the Arab League both regionally and internationally.
In a statement, Al-Yammahi congratulated the Arab League on its 80th anniversary of establishment, saying that its roles in bolstering Arab cooperation and defending Arab causes especially the Palestinian cause were evident throughout the organization's existence.
He asserted by the Arab Parliament would continue to cooperate with the league to achieve the mutual interests of Arab states to protect their welfare and fend off threats against the Arab world. (end)
