Kuwait Direct-Aid Delivers 3,800 Food Baskets In Yemen


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ADEN, March 20 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Direct-Aid Society's office in Yemen launched a project to provide Iftar (fastbreaking) meals to 3,800 families in need in three Yemeni governorates, as part of the "Kuwait Is by Your Side" campaign.
In a press statement on Thursday, the office's regional chairman Ali Butait said the project includes distributing 3,800 food baskets containing essential items for 26,600 individuals, until the end of the the holy month of Ramadan.
He thanked philanthropists and donators who supported the project to ease the suffering of thousands of families, during the unstable economic and social conditions in Yemen. (end)
