DOGE Members Enter U.S. Institute of Peace by force
(MENAFN) Workers of the Department of government Efficiency (DOGE) forcibly got into the US Institute of Peace (USIP), according to the organization’s acting president and CEO, George Moose, who spoke out on Monday.
“DOGE has broken into our building," Moose stated, condemning the action.
Local media reported the presence of Police cars outside the USIP headquarters in Washington, DC.
This incident followed a visit on Friday by DOGE members, accompanied by two FBI agents. However, they left after USIP’s lawyer informed them that the institute holds a “private and independent status.”
Tech billionaire Elon Musk, who heads DOGE, has been playing a key role in efforts to reduce US government spending as well as government contracts.
