Israel Continues Air striking Gaza, Killing Over 300 Palestinians
(MENAFN) The Gaza local authorities reported on Tuesday morning that more than 322 Palestinians were murdered or went missing in a span of five hours over the Gaza Strip as Israel continued its airstrikes, breaking a ceasefire that had lasted almost two months.
The Israeli military forces confirmed early Tuesday that it had launched airstrikes in Gaza, marking the biggest such assault since a ceasefire with Hamas got applied on January 19.
The Gaza government media Office stated that entire families were among the casualties, with many murdered together in the Israeli strikes. It also noted that ambulances as well as civil defense teams were unable to send all the casualties to hospitals.
"These brutal massacres confirm once again that the Israeli occupation army only knows the language of killing, destruction, and genocide," the statement read.
The statement further highlighted that the resumption of airstrikes in Gaza comes amid the current suffocating siege and the complete closure of crossings, worsening the humanitarian catastrophe and depriving over 2.4 million Palestinians in Gaza of essential supplies.
The media office called on the international community, including the UN Security Council and human rights organizations, to break their state of inaction and take immediate steps to end the violence in Gaza.
