Encounter Underway In North Kashmir's Handwara
(MENAFN- Kashmir Observer) Srinagar- An encounter broke out between security forces and militants in the Kupwara district of North Kashmir on Monday, officials said here.
Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Krumhoora village of Zachaldara in Handwara following information about the presence of militants in the area, they said.
The search operation turned into an encounter after the militants opened fire at the security forces.
