KUWAIT, March 14 (KUNA) --
1979 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issues a decree into law regulating trade.
1988 -- The head of the constituent council Abdulatif Thunnayan Al-Ghanem dies at the age of 76. He was the assembly's president in 1962, chairperson of the committee that drafted the constitution, minister of health and public works.
1991 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah is back at home after spending more than seven months abroad due to the Iraqi aggression.
2002 -- The Kuwaiti tennis team wins the 15th Gulf tournament.
2004 -- The cabinet endorses the Amiri grant of KD 32,000 along with a KD 150 monthly payment to each of the martyr's two parents and KD 150 to each child. Family of a non-Kuwaiti martyr was granted KD 42,000.
2020 -- The cabinet decides to suspend public transports, close entertainment facilities and shopping malls in the shadow of the coronavirus flare-up. (end)
