North Korea launches ballistic missiles in response to U.S., South Korea military training
(MENAFN) North Korea released several ballistic missiles to the Yellow Sea on Monday, hours after the United States and South Korea initiated a wide yearly shared military drill, Seoul's army has stated.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff stated that it identified the release of "unidentified" ballistic missiles from North Korea's Hwanghae district at about 1.50 pm local time (0450GMT), as reported by a Korean news agency.
But the army did not give any more information.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff additionally stated that it has bolstered monitoring as it kept a fully prepared stance under strong collaboration with the United States.
