Kuwait Embassies In Argentina, Canada, New Zealand Mark Nat'l Celebrations


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, March 1 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti embassies in Argentina, Canada, and New Zealand celebrated the country's 64th National Day and 34th Liberation Day with receptions attended by senior officials and diplomats.
Kuwait Ambassador to Argentina Abdulaziz Al-Bisher extended his warmest congratulations on the two occasions to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and the Kuwaiti government and people.
The embassy's celebration in Buenos Aires was attended by Argentina's Cabinet Chief Guillermo Francos, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to Argentina and a group of cultural, media and social figures and businessmen.
Ambassador Al-Bishr praised the level of bilateral relations that have linked Kuwait and Argentina for 56 years, stressing the keenness of the two countries to expand areas of joint bilateral cooperation.
The celebration also included the participation of the Argentine Police Band in playing the national anthems of Kuwait and Argentina.
The embassy, in coordination with the relevant authorities, lit up a number of landmarks in the capital Buenos Aires and decorated them with the colors of the Kuwaiti flag to celebrate the two occasions.
In Canada, the embassy held a celebration reception in the capital Ottawa, attended by accredited ambassadors, officials and dignitaries in Canada who wished Kuwait, government and people, continued progress and prosperity.
In New Zealand, the embassy held a reception on the occasion in the capital Wellington, attended by the representative of the New Zealand government, Principal Adviser to Deputy Secretary for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Australia, Jo McKeagg.
Kuwait's Ambassador to New Zealand Sheikh Sabah Nasser Al-Malik Al-Sabah extended his warmest congratulations to the political leadership, Kuwaiti government and people, praising the distinguished bilateral relations between Kuwait and New Zealand.
The reception was also attended by a number of senior officials in New Zealand, ambassadors, and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to Wellington. (end)
