(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Aqaba, Feb. 28 (Petra)-- Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) Nayef Al-Fayez emphasized that the city of Aqaba's new identity is a crucial strategic move to strengthen its standing as a major international travel and investment destination.
This occurred while he was sponsoring the Authority's consultative introductory workshop on the new identity of Aqaba, which was attended by members of the Board of Commissioners, representatives from public and private entities, representatives from the investment and tourism sectors, as well as local community members and stakeholders from other city sectors.
Al-Fayez applauded the efforts made to introduce the new identity, which marks a significant turning point in Aqaba's development. He said the new identity reflects Aqaba's goals as a strategic economic and tourism hub and is a part of a larger plan to increase Aqaba's competitiveness and appeal on a regional and global scale, strengthening its position as a key hub for sustainable development in the area.
In keeping with the Authority's 2024–2028 plan and the high-minded royal objectives, Hamza Al-Haj Hassan, Commissioner of Economic Development and Tourism, emphasized that the new identity reflects Aqaba's goal to become a destination for both tourism and investment.
The introduction of this identity, according to Al-Haj Hassan, is part of a comprehensive plan to promote Aqaba as a world travel destination that can draw in investments and boost its competitiveness both domestically and globally.
