Scholz condemns Trump over ‘dictator’ insult towards Zelensky
(MENAFN) German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has condemned U.S. President Donald Trump for making “wrong and dangerous” statements after Trump referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as "a dictator without elections." The remarks escalated tensions between Trump and Zelensky, with Trump posting on Truth Social that Zelensky was a "modestly successful comedian" who had deceived Washington into funding a war that was unwinnable. Trump also criticized Zelensky's leadership, suggesting he was doing "a terrible job" and warning that Ukraine would cease to exist unless Zelensky negotiated a ceasefire with Russia.
