GCC Chief: World Government Summit 2025 A Key Global Platform

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DUBAI, Feb 11 (KUNA) -- Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Al-Budaiwi, emphasized the importance of the World government Summit 2025 held in Dubai on Tuesday, noting that it serves as a global platform for discussing and anticipating the future of governments.
Al-Budaiwi stated that the summit provides an opportunity for discussions and interactions on various global issues, including artificial intelligence, economy, and sustainability.
This came in a press statement by Al-Budaiwi to KUNA during the opening session of the summit, held under the patronage of UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, with the participation of over 25 world leaders and key officials.
He noted that Kuwait is represented by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
He expressed pride in participating in the summit's activities through organizing two high-level sessions involving several esteemed ministers of finance and economy from the Council member states.
The first session is titled "session on structural developments, economic diversity, and their impact on sustainability in light of the national visions of the member states," while the second session is titled "enhancing resilience: designing the future economy of the GCC States amid regional and global challenges," in coordination with the UAE Ministry of Finance.
He noted that these contributions aim to strengthen the presence of the GCC General Secretariat in regional and international forums, thus enhancing the blessed journey of the Cooperation Council.
In conclusion, Al-Budaiwi reiterated his gratitude and appreciation to the UAE for its significant efforts in hosting this important global event in all its aspects and fields, noting that the summit extends over three days. (end)
