Trump to Make History as First Sitting President to Attend Super Bowl LIX

(MENAFN) Donald Trump will attend Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans on Sunday, becoming the first sitting US president to watch the game in a stadium.

The Caesars Superdome will host the highly anticipated American football matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles, with over 83,000 fans expected at the Stadium and an estimated 100 million viewers nationwide.

Trump will be accompanied by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and around 30 generals to witness the game, which will determi
ne the winner of the NFL’s 2024 season Lombardi Trophy.

Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry told Fox News that Trump’s attendance sends a message of confidence in the city's safety following a January 1 attack on Bourbon Street that left 14 people dead.

Heightened security will be in place for the event, with local and federal authorities, including the Secret Service, ensuring the safety of key areas and the stadium.

The Super Bowl, the most-watched sporting event in the US, is expected to generate USD 500 million for the national economy.
