Trump: Arab Nations Will Accept Palestinians After Talks On Gaza Ownership

Trump, speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on his way to the Super Bowl, stated that the people of Gaza have no place to return to.“There is nothing to go back to. This place is a destroyed region. What's left will also be destroyed,” he said.

Israel has urged Western and Islamic countries to accept individuals from Gaza who voluntarily wish to leave the region. Trump suggested that the U.S. may consider accepting some Palestinian refugees.

Arab countries, particularly Saudi Arabia, have strongly rejected Israeli officials' plans to settle Gaza's people in another country, using sharp language in their opposition.

Shortly after Trump's remarks, Hamas condemned the plan, asserting that all efforts to displace Palestinians to other countries would fail.

On Saturday morning, Hamas released three Israeli captives, while Israel confirmed the release of 183 Palestinians, who were transferred from various prisons and taken to the occupied West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza.
