Trump rules out any action to deport Prince Harry

(MENAFN) US President Donald trump has ruled out any action to deport Prince Harry, despite ongoing legal questions about his immigration status, according to the New York Post. Trump made it clear in a statement that he does not intend to take action against the exiled British prince, stating, "I don't want to do this. I'll leave him alone. He has enough problems with his wife. It's terrible." Trump also took the opportunity to praise Prince William, Harry’s estranged older brother, calling him a "great young man." The two princes had a private meeting in Paris in December 2024 during the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral, contrasting sharply with Trump's strained relationship with Harry and Meghan Markle.

Earlier statements by Trump about Harry and his wife Meghan, made in a 2022 interview with journalist Piers Morgan, also resurfaced. Trump had called Harry "doomed" and criticized Meghan for influencing the prince, predicting that their marriage would "end badly." Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved to the United States in 2020, after stepping down from royal duties and a public fallout with the British royal family. Their relationship with the royal court remains tense, particularly following their 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, where they accused the family of indifference, pressure, and even "racism." Since then, the couple has been living in Montecito, California, with their two children.
