Turkish Foreign Minister Fidan Criticizes Israel's Actions in Jerusalem, Warns Against Judaization

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan strongly criticized Israel's actions in Jerusalem, calling them "unacceptable" and warning against the "complete Judaization" of the city. In an interview with Palestinian Television, Fidan expressed concern over Israel’s efforts to alter the city's identity by undermining its Muslim and Christian heritage, saying, "The schemes being played here, aimed at fully Judaizing Jerusalem, stripping it of its international identity, as well as its Muslim and Christian identities, and imposing a single-religion approach, are, of course, unacceptable."Fidan highlighted that Jerusalem holds great significance in the Palestinian cause, stressing Turkey's ongoing efforts to protect the city's identity. He noted Israel’s provocative actions in Jerusalem, which are being supported by external powers. Despite Israel's actions, Fidan emphasized that Jerusalem has the potential to be a symbol of peace and unity, representing the monotheistic religions of the world. However, Israel’s efforts to erase Muslim and Christian symbols and dominate the city cannot continue, he warned. "This cycle of oppression will break at some point," he concluded.
