Final Call For Registration In QF's Competitions On National Sport Day 2025

Doha, Qatar: Qatar Foundation's (QF's) Education City is set to be at the heart of Qatar's National Sport Day celebrations on 11 February, from 7am to 3pm as a hub for both recreational and competitive sports that offers year-round opportunities for engagement, activity, and enjoyment.

For the nationwide celebration of sport and wellness, Education City is gearing up to host a series of competitions in partnership with Volkswagen Middle East. The Education City Triathlon returns, offering a combination of swimming, cycling, and running for all levels of fitness.

The triathlon will feature two categories – one for ladies only, and one that is open to everyone – and will include a 100m swim, a 4km cycling stage, and a 1.25km run. To register, visit

The Education City Run will offer various race options to challenge yourself and join the community in a fun athletic challenge. There are 10K, 5K and 3K options for adults, and a two junior races of 3km and 800m for children. Registration is at

As well as these competitions, a variety of other activities will take place across Education City throughout the day:

Education City Stadium: As a hub for women and girls sports, the Education City Stadium will host an exclusive Women's Fitness Challenge, featuring an exclusive obstacle course for women in teams of two.

The competition features a series of challenging events including a 1km run, monkey bars, inverted walls, sandbag moves, army crawls, and more. To register, visit

The Education City Stadium will also stage the finals of the Women and Girls Football Initiative on National Sport Day offering female spectators a thrilling atmosphere to cheer on the players. More information can be found at

In collaboration with The Running Club, a running experience will be offered on the Education City Stadium's concourse level, alongside other competitive activities. The Stadium will also host concourse activations for women and girls to enjoy in collaboration with Knockout Boxing, Harmony Vida, The Wave Fitness and Velo, as well as spinning classes on the stadium balcony throughout the day.

The Family Zone at Oxygen Park will host the Career Heroes Team Challenge, with teams of five racing against the clock to solve career-themed puzzles, while the Horses and Reading Pavilion in collaboration with QF's Al Shaqab and Qatar National Library's Qatar Reads initiative will offer a unique experience with two pony rides for children and two adult horseback riding sessions.

At Education City's Ceremonial Court, visitors can enjoy an array of HIIT, Yoga and Pilates classes.

Schools under QF's Pre-University Education will offer dedicated spaces in the Family Zone for the public to enjoy, including activities for individuals with disabilities by QF's Ability Friendly program like football, basketball and playball in the morning, followed by Kickboxing in the afternoon.

The popular Torba Farmers Market will also be open throughout the day.

In line with QF's dedication to sustainability, Education City will be car-free on National Sport Day. Visitors can park in the Academy Car Park or Oxygen Park Parking, and use the Education City Tram or simply walk to nearby activities.
