Ukraine's Ambassador-At-Large For Belarus Kyzym Resigns

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ihor Kyzym, Ukraine's Ambassador-at-Large for Belarus and former Ambassador to Belarus (2017-2023), has resigned from the diplomatic service for personal reasons.

The diplomat announced this on his facebook page, Ukrinform reports.

"Today, exclusively for personal reasons, I have made the decision to resign from the diplomatic service and take a 'well-deserved rest.' There comes a time for every person when you realize that age takes its toll, and you can no longer fully dedicate yourself to your work. And I cannot work any other way, and under current circumstances, I believe it would be dishonest to the service to which I have dedicated almost my entire life," Kyzym wrote.

On Friday, February 7, Ukrinform published an interview with Kyzym where he discussed the threats posed by Lukashenko's regime, public sentiment in Belarus, and the growing radicalization of the Belarusian democratic movement.
