Arab Parliament Union Denounces Displacement Of Palestinians From Gaza

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BEIRUT, Feb 7 (KUNA) -- The Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union denounced statements calling for the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza Strip, stressing Arab's comprehensive rejection of these calls.
In a statement on Friday, the union said that these calls represent a blatant attack on the independence and Sovereignty of the Arab nation and a clear violation of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
It affirmed its full solidarity with the official and popular Egyptian and Jordanian positions in rejecting any infringement of the rights of Palestinians through settlement, annexation of land, displacement and dispossession.
The union called on regional and international parliaments and parliamentary bodies to assume their responsibilities to stop the Israeli occupation's plan that would only lead to more conflicts and destabilization in the region. (end)
