Three Policemen Martyred, Five Injured In Attack On Checkpost In Karak


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) KARAK: Three Police personnel were martyred and five others injured when assailants attacked a police checkpost in Bahadur Khel, Karak district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the District Police Officer (DPO), the attackers, armed with heavy weapons, stormed the checkpost, resulting in the martyrdom of two policemen, identified as driver Naqeeb and constable Adnan, while six others sustained injuries.

Police retaliated with gunfire, forcing the attackers to flee. The wounded personnel were rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital, where another injured policeman, Taimoor Hayat, succumbed to his injuries. Three critically injured officers were later shifted to Peshawar for advanced medical treatment.

Following the incident, police launched a search operation in the area to track down the assailants.
